Dear Parent,
It is already that important time when parents and teachers share their common interests – CHILDREN.
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Monday, November 10th and Tuesday, November 11th. We have scheduled two afternoons and two evenings this year for your convenience. The times for Conferences are as follows:
Monday afternoon and evening, November 10th ~ 3:30-5:00 and 6:00-7:00 p.m.
Tuesday afternoon and evening, November 11th ~ 3:30-5:00 and 6:00-7:00 p.m.
When the blue conference sheet is returned, we will immediately begin to set up an appointment schedule. A ten minute conference will be arranged for you. In some cases your child’s teacher will be requesting a 20 minute conference with you. Please check the 20 minute slot on the blue form. If you feel you need more time with your child’s teacher, you may check the slot after your child’s name on the blue sheet for a twenty minute appointment. You may also schedule another meeting with the teacher at a later date at your mutual convenience. Your exact appointment time will be sent home as soon as scheduling is complete. A schedule of appointments will be posted on classroom doors for your convenience and time management. Please be prompt because conferences are back to back. If the before dinner hour time is not a problem, please schedule your meeting for this time.
REPORT CARDS
Report cards will be handed out and discussed during Parent-Teacher Conferences. Like Achievement Test scores, report cards are only one indicator of your child’s total development. They are intended to motivate and foster future improvements and also recognize the student’s accomplishments. Report cards are a positive attempt to give parents an account of certain strengths and weaknesses, in order to provide possible alternatives for increased progress.
Most importantly, children should always be encouraged to like themselves and have pride in their unique accomplishments.
Please return the blue conference sheet no later than
8:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 6th.
