2012 is a year of steeples and roofs. So in keeping with that theme, this year's parish fund raising event is “Raise the Roof” for a new roof on St. Bernard’s School. The event promises to be over the top.
Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Turner Hall is the place for the Soirée, It will start at 10:00 am with a family Bunco Tournament. Whether you are a beginner or pro (ages 6 and up) your team of 4 can compete for prizes and great fun while supporting the event.
Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Turner Hall at 4pm is when the night of fun, food, incredible auction items and a chance to win $2,000 begins. This year’s auction already has one of a kind, priceless items near and dear to St. B’s families. Marble from altars, an original large safe,and a Secretary’s desk used by generations of employees and clergy at St. B’s. are some auction items. Firehouse birthday Parties, CPR instruction and a purebred lab puppy. This is only the beginning and each week in the bulletin we will update you on new donated items. The silent auction will start the event followed by a dinner, live auction, and ending with the Raffle ticket winners.
We however need so much more. We need many more items and are concentrating on services, events, or monetary donations that can be offered. On the bottom of this page is a link to a form for you to offer suggestions and a donation sheet. We would love for you to be creative and offer to the auction the best “over the top” service or event you can offer.
The committee is grateful for all past contributions and look forward to hearing from you this year. St. Bernard’s future needs people committed to the growth of the church and the school. So let's work together to put a new roof over our St, B’s kids. If you cannot think of a way to offer a creative donation, it is your chance to come and have dinner and fun and bid on the great contributions that are part of the "Raise the Roof" event.
All donations will be displayed with their descriptions in the event catalog that each guest will receive. All contributions are tax deductible and each will receive a thank you/tax letter confirming the value of the donation.
Join us for a fabulous day/ night of fun. It is unsure how many more events like this will take place. Tickets will be available after masses in March, at the rectory, through committee members or call one of us. We would be
