Dear Parent,

It’s been another colorful and spectacular week at school. Here are a few items of interest:

Monday, October 13th, will be one of our three Early Release Days of this year. School will be dismissed at 11:30 am. The other Early Release Days are February 13th and April 20th.

Next week is National School Lunch Week. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our lunch staff and parent volunteers for all of their efforts that make our lunchtime such a delicious and friendly experience for the children.

The first “Wacky Walk to School Day” organized by Mrs. Poth was a huge success! We will repeat this event the next two Thursdays, October 16th and October 23rd.

It’s no secret that budgets are tight. One way you can help our school and get full value for your money is by buying Scrip. Another way is by buying or renewing your magazine subscription online through our website. The Doherty family has had so much success using this method that they wrote the following:

Is it time to renew your magazine subscriptions? Do you purchase magazines as gifts for Christmas? Do you want a great deal on magazines while helping St. Bernard’s School? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions – please go to http://www.stbern.org/magazines.cfm to learn more. Your purchase will help St. Bernard’s as the school receives 40% of the purchase price of the magazine and the magazines are at or below the price you would find elsewhere on the internet or regular renewal rates. You may renew or purchase magazines any time of the year using this link. Spread the word!!!”

Have a great weekend and go Badgers/Packers!
