Here are a few updates for you . . .
No School Tomorrow
There is No School on Friday, September 26th due to a Catholic Institute Day.
Market Day
Market Day is excited to promote FREE groceries as part of the Big Grocery Giveaway! Simply place an order for October and your name will be entered to win. Over 1,000 winners will be awarded! Simply place your order online – it’s that easy!
Order online at marketday.com until NOON on Tuesday, 10-7-08. Paper orders are due to school on Monday, 10-06-08. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to help, you can call Laurie Mitchell at 262-2454. With your support, we’re looking forward to reaching our fundraising goals of $1500 this year.
Bike-a-Thon Benefit /Make a Difference Day
Our Make a Difference Day activity for this year is the Bike-A-Thon benefit for Joshua O’Brien. Joshua is a child from St. Henry’s school who has been hospitalized for five months during the past year. Joshua is in the process of relearning simple tasks, such as sitting up and walking, that we all take for granted. His family has been burdened with medical bills and overwhelmed with other expenses related to their situation. Your participation in the Bike-a-Thon, as a participant and/or sponsor will truly make a difference in their lives! Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 4th! Start collecting your pledges today. If you need another pledge form, please request one in the school office.
Joshua’s Journey Wristbands are On Sale in the school office. These wristbands are being used to promote the event and to support Joshua in his journey to recovery. The wristbands are $3 each or 2 for $5. The adult size comes in royal blue and the youth size comes in light blue and green. Please consider purchasing a bracelet in support of Joshua. You can make a big difference!
* If you are unable to participate and would still like to be a part of this community effort, consider making a pledge donation to an individual who is biking (Mr. Allen is!J). Checks should be made payable to the “Joshua O’Brien Fund”. For every $20 pledged, you will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win cool items, like a Wii system!
Picture Day
Picture day will be on Friday, October 3rd. Look for the flier to come home on Tuesday, September 30th.
Pet Blessing Day
There will be a pet and owner blessing on Friday, October 3rd at 2:45pm. Please bring your pet(s) to the school parking lot at this time. If you have any questions, please call the school office.
